I've been squashing more minor bugs in the Mad Magazine Game. The most recent was a bug I found where if a player was stuck on the "don't move until someone passes you" space and another player passed them after landing on the "roll the dice 3 times and move forward" space, the stuck player wouldn't move. That should be fixed now.

Now, a bug squashing sidenote: every once in a while, I come across a bug where if a player is on the "anywhere" space and another player lands on the "everyone else moves back one space" space, the game would sometimes lock up when processing the new space of the "anywhere" player. I have seen it happen a few times while playing the game, but oddly, I can't intentionally duplicate it. If you come across this bug, please let me know in the comments.

Ok, I've added a fix to the Mad Magazine Game that SHOULD solve the "stuck in limbo" problem of all players landing on "can't move until something happens" spaces. Give it a look.

Mad about bugs

The Mad Magazine Game

I've been squashing bugs in the Mad Magazine Board Game. I found 4 or 5 non-game-ending bugs that I've fixed recently. If you spot any yourself, please drop me a line or let me know in the comments.

By the way, that goes for the Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Crisis Board Games as well. You never know when a small bug might rear it's ugly head.

The Mad Magazine Game is now in beta testing.

You can now head on over to the Mad Magazine page and play the full game. You may or may not encounter some game ending bugs.

There is at least one game ending bug I came upon involving one player sending every other player back one space that I haven't been able to recreate, but I'm looking into it. Also, there are a couple of bugs that are actually part of the game itself where it's possible for players to all be stuck in a situation where no one can move because their space won't let them unless a certain criteria is met, and that criteria can never be met without someone else being able to move. This is a rare but very possible scenario that could also happen in the analog version of the game. I have yet to program around it and the game will simply stop if this happens.
